Post Christmas Writing

I hope this finds you happy with warm thoughts and memories of Christmas. Here's a picture of this years Christmas Tree. My Christmas was terribly busy but full of surprises and great gifts. My brother and his wife, whom we've not been able to see in nine years surprised us by coming down to visit us for five days over Christmas. They just left this morning. We had a great time and enjoyed talking over memories as well as making new ones.
This year we held Christmas Eve gathering at my son's home. It was a lot of fun and wonderful to watch our grandson open his Christmas gifts. Then we came home and spent most of the late hours wrapping gifts. Christmas morning we all enjoyed opening the gifts from each other. Everyone was pleased with their gifts. A pleasant day followed and it turned out quite nice for all.
Now we received word that our sister and her husband will be stopping by for a few days over New Years. We've not seen her in about four years so we're quite anxious to see them. I hope this finds everyone happy and ready for an exciting new year.

Time To Post Again!

I've purposefully not posted here since I saw Richard Chamberlain last February. I come here and click on the picture and remember my two times I went to see the play. Sadly, I feel it's time to finally post here again. I'll always have the memories.

It's been a very busy summer for me with my twin sister having problems from surgery for the entire summer. I've been one of the major care givers and it's been a tiring time. Hopefully she'll be going back to work in about two weeks. Thank God we finally got her to a physician that knew what to do.

So, once agian I can come to my happy place and relax, put my feet up and enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of the moment I sit alone in my office with just myself and the computer. Thanks for being here for me.

Richard Chamberlain In Person!!

On February 25th I was able to go see the touring company for Monty Python's Spamalot. They were performing the play about 40 miles from my home. I was so excited because starring as King Arthur was none other than Richard Chamberlain! Be still my heart! We sat in the 5th row left side right by the door. It was great and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Richard Chamberlain in person. Then the next day my sister and daughter were able to secure two seats again for me to see the play. Actually, it wasn't to see the play, but to be in the theatre with Richard Chamberlain again. Well, the seats were phenominal! They were front row, center. Let me tell you, they were the best in the house as far as I was concerned. They were right behind the conductors spot.Anyhow, to make a long story short, at the end of the play after the finale, the cast sang another song, "Always look on the bright side of life." I saw person far off to my right take a flash picture so I took out my camera (not supposed to have any) and began taking some shots of Richard Chamberlain. He saw me taking the photos. He opened his eyes wide, pointed his finger at me, smiled and mouthed to me "You're bad" and continued singing with the cast. I just smiled, shrugged and watched him finish the song. It was fabulous because now I know he difinitely saw me and knows I exist. Fabulous time!

Still Looking For My Happy Place

Wow! It's been a long time since I've posted here. So much has happened I'm sure I won't be able to put it all down. Suffice it to say that we had to put my daughters cat down in August, my poodle in October and my sisters poodle in November. The dogs were 17 years old and the cat 8.

Then on October 1st I had emergency hernia/bowel blockage surgery. I'm fine, but I was in major pain till surgery. It all turned out great and I'm doing much better.

We've been arguing again this year. I so want this to be a better year. Here's hoping it will be.
